Headhunters Genital Adornment

This question is in regard to a male piercing that borneo headhunters have been known to adorn themselves with, i believe its called a Pelang, though its been a while since i read about it - a few years at least. It's a dummy-Glans made from wood with a left to right retaining bar that is inserted through a diametric pierced hole just below the Sulcus.
I haven't seen or heard of it since and wondered if anyone else has heard of this piercing being done in the western world, or to be PC - the modern world.
